This is the place to discus all things TFav (short for TwitterFav). Everyone is invited to contribute.

Having being developped by an amateur PHP developper, TFav already has a number of architectural enhancements in the pipe. Yet, you may have ideas for crutial enhancements or additions to the current features, and I'd be happy to hear them.

One of the first questions to ask, obviously, is what would be your primary way to access your network favorites from TFav.

The easiest available method in the current state of things is to add http://www.twitterfav.com/your_twitter_screenname to your Twitter profile text. Then it's just a matter of two clicks from your Twitter page to access your Twitterfav page.

An RSS feed also seems to be a good candidate for access to your network favorites.

But still, it's always better when you receive updates from your network directly as part of the tool (Twitter) that keeps you in contact with this network.

So what I could do is set a system so that people who are following @tfav get a message from @tfav each time that their "network's favorites" list  is completely renewed. It would not happen so often that it could be considered spam. It would be a gentle reminder to check the twitterfav page, with a direct link to this page, so I think it sounds helpful. And it would help spread the word since the @tfav messages in Twitter may trigger the curiosity of some other people reading the user's page.

This idea remains dependant on some calculus on my side to see what are the most efficient processes to put in place, knowing that I'm operating under the constraint that I should not spam Twitter with too much requests.

Frankly, this constraint might become the main factor for the decisions on what model to go for, and how I develop these, because in its current state TFav consumes really far too much Twitter API requests.

I'd be happy to hear from you on your ideas regarding Tfav, so please feel free to send me an email at: nathan [.] ch [@] [gmail] [.] com
